Amortize Your Cherries
Amanda, in a guest post at Get Rich Slowly, looks at the current economy as an opportunity to teach children about financial responsibility. She outlines some activities at various ages including "Amortize Your Cherries" at age seven.
A mother shows her children the price per pound of cherries and gives them the option to "either eat them all at once and have no more for a long while (with a gentle reminder of the price), or they could eat just a few cherries at a time and enjoy them for several days."
