1. Shop the Sales

Check out the flyer for your local grocery store. Make a list of just the sales and stock up on those items. Limit the number of items that you purchase at regular prices.

2. Match Coupons with Sales

Coupons can save money, if you use them correctly. Use the coupons when the items are on sale and you'll start to see savings adding up. Find out if your grocery store doubles coupons and shop on that day to get twice the savings.

3. Stockpile Bargains

When you find the great deals, buy a 12 week supply of the item. Many grocers offer sales in 12 week cycles. Your stockpile should last you until the item goes on sale again.

4. Watch for Rock Bottom Prices

Keep an eye on the prices of your favorite items using a price book. By tracking the sales cycles, you'll be able to spot rock bottom prices, the time when you should stock up on your items.

5. Make a List and Stick to It

Impulse buys are often where budgets get derailed. Plan your list ahead of time, and stick to it once you get to the store!
