An account used to save for retirement. The Roth IRA can be invested in CDs or money market accounts to earn interest. It can also be invested in stocks or mutual funds.

Roth IRAs are funded with after tax dollars and grow tax free. You may want to consider opening a Roth IRA for kids to help your children save for the future.
